T By Alexander Wang Makes Slouch Cool

Alexander Wang, the designer of easy, chic garments, is climbing towards building his empire based in The States–one of New York’s brightest. In fact, his celebration in February for the opening of his first flagship store, recent release of T by Alexander Wang, strong runway seasons, and being crowned GQ Menswear Designer of The Year are proving that Wang is an upcoming star–gaining a seemingly faithful customer, Kanye West. Contrary to popular belief, Alexander Wang is proving that Europe isn’t the only place to be tastefully dressed.

True enough, T by Alexander Wang still holds true to Wang style. However, upon seeing the fall 2011 collection, you instantly comprehend the reformed look he is pushing upon the public. Simple sweaters, metallic maxi skirts–maybe a pullover here and there conveys the simplistic message of what his website calls, “…a uniform with the functionality and ease of a tee shirt.” Indeed, with Wang’s recent collection you see the statement come to life. In any case, the silhouette was a bit “slouchy”–not forthcoming. After all, even as you are fixing your mouth to grant a negative opinion, you reevaluate yourself. Could this be sportswear’s future?

Only time will answer the endearing question, because–honestly–I’m not all too infatuated with T by Alexander Wang. However, I will bid a welcoming “good luck”; who could ever tell Wang “no”?
