Resort 2012: Lanvin Unleashes Another Fierce One

I’m truly convinced that Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz is a genius — yes, a genius. In fact, he’s reformed Lanvin into an embodiment of me. Indeed, I believe so — even with the strange looks being received by my words last typed.

There are two reasons to fuel the love I have for Elbaz; A: He can make anything glamorous. B: He’s the master of tasteful embellishment. A lovely example would refer to Lanvin’s newly released resort 2012 collection. Simplistic shapes matched with feminine flower embellishments, shiny imitation of precious metals, and luxurious fabrics were all the intense rage of this collection. See, Elbaz has done it for his 2012 cruise collection, but never forget his past — the dear designer is — apologizing for repetition — a true genius.

Without any reservation, it is most possible that I cannot harness Elbaz’s wonders for French brand, Lanvin. However, a word could put into fruition the mixture of many feelings bursting at once when one sees all of the Lanvin resort 2012 maxi-dresses modeled before you. Regret, a tiny melancholy yearn, joy, envy towards the model with the honor to wear such a dress, and inspiration all experienced all at once! In fact, it brings upon a certain confusion — a lust, and from there you can’t get enough.

I’ll admit it; I’m dancing on my toes looking like an idiot right now, while I’m viewing a slide show of the resort 2012 Lanvin images that have been newly revealed. Nevertheless, never once in my lifetime I’ve ever had said this concerning any collection, but every last garment, piece of jewelry, and shoe are all wanted by yours truly. (Don’t forget about Lanvin’s newest kiddie line — how adorable!)  No, I’m not joking right now; I’m dead serious.
